Fractal Analysis of Coal Pore Structure Based on Computed Tomography and Fluid Intrusions

As a non-homogeneous porous medium, the structural complexity of coal directly affects pore structure parameters and gas percolation characteristics, which in turn determine fractal dimension samples. Among them, specific surface area largely determines is closely related to protrusion hazards. To investigate relationship between its area, we analyzed samples using low-temperature nitrogen adsorption, mercury pressure method, X-ray micro-computed tomography (CT) experiments. By calculating reconstructing it three dimensions, morphological characteristics distribution pores can be described qualitatively quantitatively. The was found increase exponentially with based on measurements large mesopores via method those small micropores adsorption method. micro-CT experiments revealed that (i.e., >2 μm) conformed this pattern.
